Day By Day ( Itinerary)
Day 1: Arrival Day (JRO)
Meet with a Burungi Safaris Representative upon arrival at Kilimanjaro International Airport. Transfer to your booked hotel in Arusha and receive a briefing about your upcoming tour. Your guide will ensure you have the evening to yourself to relax and look forward to the exciting days ahead.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Early in the morning, after a delicious breakfast, depart for Tarangire National Park. This park is famous for its high concentration of elephants, ancient baobab trees, and abundant birdlife. Alongside your Burungi guide, you’ll feel the vibrant vibe of the park. Enjoy a picnic lunch amidst the wildlife and capture unforgettable moments in one of Africa’s best destinations.
Day 3: Lake Manyara National Park
Following breakfast, leave Tarangire and head to Lake Manyara. Here, you can gaze at tree-climbing lions and explore the unique and compact park, where lush jungle-like groundwater forests create a unique backdrop. Lake Manyara, painted by flamingos, provides a stunning natural canopy. Enjoy lunch amidst the wild before leaving Manyara National Park for your lodge in Karatu, where you’ll dine and spend the night.
Day 4: Karatu to Central Serengeti
Wake up with anticipation for a full day of adventure in the endless plains of the great Serengeti. En route to Serengeti, stop at the Ngorongoro view point for breathtaking views. Proceed to central Serengeti, where you’ll witness the instinctive roles of wildlife in the inescapable cycle of life. You may witness cheetahs trotting across the savanna, and the acacia trees pass you by as you traverse the wilderness in your safari jeep. The ancient rhythm unfolds as you encounter the incredible wildebeest migration if you happen to be here at the right time.
Day 5: Serengeti to Ngorongoro Highlands
Begin your day with an early morning game drive in Serengeti, where you may spot lots of different wild animal in their purest form. After brunch and packing, head to Ngorongoro while enjoying game viewing along the way. Arrive in Ngorongoro late in the evening and spend the night on the crater rim at one of the lodges per your booking.
Day 6: Ngorongoro Crater
After an early morning breakfast, proceed to the Crater for a game drive. Ngorongoro is home to Africa’s Big 5 – lions, leopards, buffalos, elephants, and black rhinoceros. Enjoy a 6-hour game drive with a picnic lunch in the crater. Afterward, leave the crater rim and drive back to Arusha with an en-route game drive via Mto wa Mbu town. In the evening, reach your Arusha hotel and savor a delicious dinner and enjoy the memories of your safari with Burungi Safaris.
Day 7: Departure Day
Bid farewell to the wild beauty of Tanzania as you depart from Arusha. The incredible memories you’ve made during this 7-day safari in Tanzania will stay with you, a living testimony to the natural wonders and wildlife encounters that Tanzania has to offer.
