Day By Day ( Itinerary)
Day 1: Arrival and Pickup
Arrive at Kilimanjaro International Airport (JRO) and meet with a Burungi Safaris representative. Transfer to your hotel, where you’ll be briefed about the upcoming tour. Anticipate the best of the safari adventure with Burungi Safaris.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After breakfast, venture into the heart of Tarangire National Park for an early morning game drive. As the sun climbs high, enjoy a hearty lunch amidst the wildlife. Tarangire, known as the oasis of elephants, offers encounters with zebras, wildebeests, giraffes, and more against the backdrop of the iconic baobab trees. Bid farewell to the blue skies and head to Karatu for an overnight stay.
Day 3: Karatu to Lake Eyasi
Meet the Hadza and Datoga Blacksmiths.
Following breakfast, your Burungi driver guide and you head towards Lake Eyasi. Meet the Hadza bushmen and the skilled Datoga blacksmiths. Immerse yourself in their world, learning about their hunting techniques and way of life firsthand. If you dare, try your hand at shooting arrows, a moment to cherish in a world that has nothing to do with technology. Explore the nearby Lake Eyasi, where the reflection of the vast sky meets the water’s edge. Shake hands with your newfound friends, but don’t expect to exchange email addresses. Later, drive back to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After breakfast, depart for Ngorongoro for a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater with your lunch boxes in tow. Witness the Big 5 and the natural wonders of this UNESCO World Heritage Site. Share your lunch in the afternoon surrounded by wildlife, and keep an eye out for the subtle presence of predators like lions or cheetahs patiently waiting for a catch. As the day unfolds, drive back to Arusha.
Day 5: Departure
Bid farewell to the wild beauty of Tanzania as you depart from Arusha, carrying with you the memories of this extraordinary safari adventure.
