Day 1: Arrival in Tanzania
Your Tanzanian journey commences as you set foot on Kilimanjaro International Airport’s welcoming soil (JRO). Here, our dedicated Burungi Safaris representative extends a warm greeting, ensuring a smooth arrival. You’ll be promptly transferred to your cozy Moshi hotel. Take this time to relax, acclimatize to the Tanzanian ambiance, and eagerly anticipate the remarkable adventures ahead.
Day 2-6: Kilimanjaro Trek – Marangu Route
Over five exhilarating days, guided by our seasoned BURUNGI mountain experts, you’ll embark on a breathtaking journey to conquer the iconic Mount Kilimanjaro through the scenic Marangu route. This renowned trail offers a rewarding trekking experience, marked by gradual ascents and well-maintained paths. Traverse diverse landscapes, from lush rainforests to expansive moorlands and captivating alpine deserts. Comfortable huts and the camaraderie of porters ensure your safety and well-being. Day 7: Return to Moshi
Descending from Kilimanjaro’s towering heights, a sense of accomplishment accompanies each step. Reflect on your triumph as you journey back to Moshi, sharing stories with fellow trekkers and reveling in your achievement. Your comfortable Moshi hotel awaits, providing the perfect conclusion to your incredible journey.
Day 8: Moshi – Tarangire National Park
Today marks the beginning of a 3-day wildlife safari, departing from Moshi to Tarangire National Park, renowned for its massive elephant herds, iconic baobab trees and highest concentration of birdlife. Enjoy game drives around the park and witness a multitude of wildlife in their natural setting. Spend the night at a lodge or camp adjacent to Tarangire National park.
Day 9: Tarangire – Ngorongoro Crater
Head to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater, a volcanic caldera teeming with wildlife, including the Big Five. Delight in a remarkable game drive and spend the night in a lodge overlooking the crater.
Day 10: Ngorongoro – Arusha
Awaken to the golden dawn and embark on a captivating morning game drive in the legendary Ngorongoro Crater. Often dubbed the “Garden of Eden,” this natural wonder showcases a breathtaking array of wildlife against the backdrop of an ancient volcanic caldera.
